I am a Wisconsin-based portrait and event photographer with a degree in photography from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Hi, I’m Clarissa Friday.

My work is centered on collaboration and community. I believe the best images come from trust, connection, and working closely with the people I photograph. I am passionate about supporting Native organizations, entrepreneurs, and community programs by creating professional images that reflect real experiences and real impact.

I work closely with Native organizations, nonprofits, and small businesses to document programs, events, and real-life moments that reflect impact and connection.

Rather than overly posed or staged imagery, I focus on:

  • Genuine interactions

  • Natural Portraits

  • Story-driven event coverage

  • images designed for real-world use

    • Grants, reports, websites, and social media

My goal is to help organizations visually communicate the work they’re doing and help entrepreneurs show up confidently and professionally online.

Why Community Matters in My Work

I earned my degree in photography from Milwaukee Area Technical College and have spent years developing my skills in portraiture, event photography, and storytelling.

Through my work, I’ve partnered with community organizations, Native programs, entrepreneurs, and families across Wisconsin — documenting everything from community events and educational programs to branding sessions and celebrations.

This mix of technical training and real-world experience allows me to deliver professional, consistent results while keeping the process relaxed and approachable.

My Background

My photography is directly tied to the individuals and communities I work with. I know my work wouldn’t exist without the trust of the people who invite me into their spaces, events, and stories.

That’s why collaboration is at the heart of everything I do — from planning sessions together to understanding each organization’s goals and each client’s vision. The result is imagery that feels honest, respectful, and meaningful.
